Sandon River Road to Minnie Waters - The Rough Way

We began this adventure by taking Bosches Waterhole Road off the Sandon Road.  Wow, what great fun.  I was lucky it has been so dry, no waterholes to drive through, others in the party very disappointed at the lack of thrills.
This is Minnie Waters Main Beach, we are at the start of the Rocky Point Walk. The ocean is such an amazing colour today.

Just past Rocky Point on a track I'm pretty sure we weren't supposed to be on was this gem of an outcrop.

The Angophora Walk has some narly old trees and some beautiful blossoms. It loops back onto the Rocky Point Walk

This beautiful secluded cove was on the Scenic walk around Minnie Headland it was the perfect picnic spot.

A Couple of Days R&R

It was great to take this opportunity to go camping for a few days  not far from home at Brooms Head Caravan Park.  The rest and sheer beauty of this piece of coast is so soothing for the soul.
We had so many gorgeous walks, including this one from the lookout to back beach where I got a little arty with my drift wood photo.
I grew up swimming and fishing these waters and I love the feeling of homecoming every time I'm near the ocean.

I got to catch up on some recipe research while I dodged the heat of the day under an enormous Norfolk Pine, truly the luckiest girl in the world.  Pretty lucky we met this big boy on the other side of the track and not in the middle.  He was so buff and pretty patient with my dodgy camera skills.
